Compounded Sterile Preparations: |
Assures the availability of adequate equipment to safely prepare compounded sterile preparations. |
Ensures that pharmaceutical preparations are sterile, properly packaged, labeled and stored, and not outdated. |
Certifies the skills of the compounding staff. |
Maintains air quality check records. |

Low-risk compounding: |
The applicable media-fill test will be performed and passed annually, after the initial training and media-fill test is completed and passed. |
Medium-risk compounding: |
The applicable media-fill test will be performed and passed annually, after the initial training and media-fill test is completed and passed. |
High-risk compounding: |
The applicable media-fill test will be performed and passed semi-annually, after the initial training and media-fill test is completed and passed. |
