Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking an Inpatient Pharmacist to join our team!

Role Overview:

• Serve as a fully integrated member of the Pharmacy Department to provide advanced clinical pharmacy services.

• Check and prepare IV medications in a sterile environment for inpatient care.

  • Checks and preparations include non-hazardous, hazardous, chemotherapy, and investigational agents.

• Responsible for reviewing and processing inpatient non-chemotherapy and chemotherapy orders.

• Will be rotating into many areas within the hospital including: Robot, urgent care, pediatrics, ICU, SDU, outpatient pharmacy & Clean Room suites (non-chemo and chemo).

• Manage medication inventory.

• Have a good understanding of inpatient operations and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.

• Detail orientated with a mind set to improve patient safety and maintain cleanroom sterility.

• Able to make sound judgments, even in the absence of complete information, without unnecessary escalation and excessive planning.

• Someone with excellent communication skills who is supportive of new ideas and other's beliefs.

• Someone who has a strong sense of ownership and willingness to learn.

Key Qualifications:

• PharmD (or equivalent) required.

• A valid NY State Pharmacist license required.

• Strong computer skills and the ability to develop a good understanding of pharmacy systems.

• Prior hospital pharmacy experience (preferred)

• IV compounding experience with sterile preparations (preferred)

• Omnicell experience (preferred)

Additional Information

• Location: 1275 York Ave, Main Campus

• Schedule: Overnight shift. Start as early as 7:30pm. End us late as 8am. (11.5 hour shift)

• Rotating holidays; Shifts, hours, and weekends may vary to meet the needs of the department

• Reports to a Pharmacy Manager

Pay Range $62.26- $102.77/hr.
